High Flyers

Never before had I been so close to a Magnificent frigatebird. As high flyers, I’ve always seen them just out of my camera’s focus. On this particular day, a family of three swooped into the ocean before me, hunting for fish and harassing gulls. This male’s outstretched wings, forked tail, and brilliant red throat pouch truly show off the wonder of these giant beauties.
